The 1960's saw Forbes Kennedy continue his starry professional career primarily as a member of the Boston Bruins and later the Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Maple Leafs  Brother Jamie Kennedy also joined the pro ranks with the Jersey Devils in 1968-69 in the minors. Bill MacMillan, a standout with St.Mike's Majors and then the 1964-65 Saint Dunstan's Saints Maritime Intercollegiate hockey champs, won a bronze medal with the Canadian national hockey team in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. In the final year of the decade in 1969, the Charlottetown Jr. Islanders became a legend as they battled the Quebec Remparts in the Memorial Cup playoffs.
